Birds Colouring Page

‘National Bird Week’ runs from the 18th to 24th October 2021 in Australia.

The week is to encourage Australian’s to get involved in the conservation of birds, but this should be a global project for there are birds almost everywhere in the world.  They are important because they help control pests, they are pollinators, they aerate the soil, and provide fertilizer too, just to name a few things.

We’ve created a colouring page this week filled with birds found around the world. Maybe you can play eye spy, looking out your window or when you go on a walk, to see if you can spot any of the birds pictured?

As a further extension to this colouring page why not think about the birds where you are and how you can help their conservation?

Maybe you could:

  • Put a bird bath in your garden to provide fresh water.
  • Keep your cat indoors at night.
  • Plant some flowers to provide nectar.
  • Plant native shrubs or a tree to improve their habitat.
